I like to think of AI as Augmented Intelligence and not Artificial. AI should support and enhance our learning, productivity, and our understanding of the world.
It should turn us into efficiency machines.
It should be a tool for us.
If it replaces our jobs, and then us, then it’s just another, more advanced system of outsourced labor.
The cheapest worker ever.
No lunch break needed.
No ping pong table needed in the break room.
It does need some training and instructions though…
Watch this commercial from Mint Mobile and Ryan Reynolds…
The key to success here is the input. Precise instructions are helpful and needed to get any type of result that doesn’t sound like it came off the back of a cereal box. Inputs were:
Voice of Ryan Reynolds - this refers to tone
use a joke
a curse word
holiday program is still on
even though the big, bad, wireless companies cancelled their’s
That’s a lot of detailed info for AI. Specificity wins out. It’s an example of working with AI as a partner.
Had the input been “write a mint mobile commercial” it might have spit out this:
This is AI generated…

Not exciting.
Crap in. Crap out.
Think About It…
IN honor of the first weekend of the NFL playoffs try this misunderstood quote.
Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.
Vince Lombardi
Vince said it but he probably wasn’t the first.
He later clarified.
It’s making the effort to succeed that’s critical. He was talking about building and developing a day-to-day system that leads towards daily improvement. A successful system builds a successful team, and a successful individual.
And you see this in the current sports landscape. More and more athletes compete as hard as possible to win but they come together as humans to celebrate the journey.
It’s an embrace after a fall.
A congratulations from a competitor on an outstanding performance.
A shared prayer.
Do It…
More writing this weekend. Mostly research.
JiuJitsu as always.
And I’m watching playoff football.
Here are your non-AI, seat of the pants, and totally biased predictions (which if you use for gambling purposes you’re going to lose all your money):
SF vs. Seattle - SF wins big, talking blow out here.
Chargers vs. Jaguars - Jaguars win!
Dolphins vs. Bills - another huge blow out. +14 or more.
Giants vs. Vikings - Giants on the last play of the game
Ravens vs. Bengals - Joe Burrow wins it for the Bengals
Cowboys vs. Buccaneers - Cowboys. Dak finally plays a complete game.
Have fun.
Ciao.
