I hadn’t been paying attention. I was a little hung over and thinking about all the reasons I shouldn’t have had that 4th shot of tequila – or the three earlier – last night and I’d totally missed the question my boss directed at me. I didn’t hear it, wasn’t prepared for it, and didn’t have any idea about the context of the conversation between the men and women in the room.
Six faces - looking like they were ready to commit an axe murder - turned towards me and waited.
Uhh?
“Can you expand upon that? It’s only our largest customer at stake, here. We lose this and people lose jobs,” said the boss lady.
Probably starting with me.
Time to get it together.
